My name is Jenna Tackett, and I’m a Southern girl trying to live the literary lifestyle and use my MFA in Creative Writing. (It’s much more difficult than it sounds. Publishing is a scary world.)
So far, that’s included vlogging on onthebigadventure, reading (check out my goodreads shelf), editing, innkeeping, teaching Composition at a community college, being on the Mischief Management staff for GeekyCon and BroadwayCon, declaring myself a Nerdfighter, managing social media presences for hospitality properties, designing pages for a newspaper, and being social media obsessed.
Basically, I’m trying to decrease world suck and increase the awesome as much as possible. Right now I’m doing that from a small town in Arkansas, where I drink crazy amounts of iced tea and coffee.
This blog will cover fandom, books, style, music, food, and writing, as well as general life tips, stories, and advice. It’ll be variety of things, really, that I casually label “literary lifestyle.” Everything here is casual, so pull up a seat and get ready to explore!

We are involved with doing an exhibit on Katharine Hepburn at the Kent State University Museum (http://facebook.com/ksumuseum) and will be showing Brininging Up Baby at the museum on Feb 24 (for more about the museum go to http://www.kent.edu/museum) and I enjoyed reading your comments about the movie. since it is one of my favorites.
