Man of the House: Jonathan Taylor Thomas

My very first celebrity crush was Jonathan Taylor Thomas. The reasons were simple: he was the voice of Simba, incredibly cute in Man of the House (a truly ridiculous movie that I still adore), and if I married him we would nearly have identical initials and I wouldn’t have to change my last name.

I had a year-long calendar with him as the figure head for each month. Instead of posting it on the wall, I hid it under my bed and refused to mar it with ink or actually use it as a functional calendar.

In particular, I was fond of his hair. And I think I was under the impression that he was always coming up with his own witty one-liners. Regardless, when you look at pictures of him from the 90s and then look at pictures of him now, it’s no surprise that he was the sort of boy that Young Jenna found adorable. I mean, there are glasses and plaid involved. What more could a girl ask for?
